Manfrotto 676B Black Monopod

This is a superbly crafted black monopod weighing less than a pound. Min. height 19", max. height 60.5". Rated for weight up to 10lbs (but I'm sure it could suppot more) and weighs less than a pound. The #3232M Swivel Tilt Head screws right on top of this monopod. Quick snap leg locks make raising and lowering the height a breeze. The second lower leg is thin enough for the Sony RM-VD1 remote to clamp on to. Now you can raise your camcorder over your head and still be able to zoom and record at will.

The SLIK Slim-Pod has a built in swivel head with quick release extension locks and weighs just 10oz. It's not as strong as the Bogen676B but it works. Fully extended it's kind of shakey, but you will only need to extend it slightly when inserted in the Kangaroo Pouch. The tilt head is not nearly as smooth, strong, or durable as the Bogen (3232m), but if your on a budget, it's a deal. This is a super lightweight inexpensive support system and a super deal. Check SLIK's web site for specs on this monopod.

The Soft Foam Eye Cup is designed to make viewing through the camera's eye piece more comfortable with better light sealing. If you use your eye piece often, you've probably suffered from some bruising or soreness from repeated contact with the rubber eye cup, I know I have. I also love how the soft foam fits your eye socket, sealing out all the extraneous light. This is extremely helpful in bright sun light situations when your LCD monitor becomes useless. (Using your eye piece instead of the LCD monitor prolongs the camcorder battery life, gives a more accurate exposure feedback, and allows you to hold your camcorder in a tighter brace to your body.) Not recommended for eyeglasses.

This Sony remote can control ; Zoom, Record Start/Stop, Power Up From Standby, and Still Photo functions of LANC controlled video cameras. (Also works with Sony digital still cameras with an ACC terminal.) This little remote measures just 1" X 1-1/2" and has a spring loaded grip that clamps to several spots on the Scorpion Bracket, or the handle of your video head. It has a power on LED that changes to Red to let you know when you are recording with just a glance. The clamp mount allows you to quickly reposition it from your tripod handle to your Scorpion Bracket or anything else up to 3/4" thick. It has a five foot cord length and comes with a soft drawstring carrying pouch. A two speed rocker switch controls your zoom. A slide switch on the side, powers camera up and down.
